Bread Machine Pizza Dough

This is an easy pizza dough to prepare, and the bread machine does the work. Top this pizza dough with pizza sauce and your favorite toppings and enjoy a fresh hot pizza.


  • 1 cup water
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • dash garlic powder
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 tablespoons softened butter
  • 2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast


Add ingredients to the bread machine following manufacturer's suggested order. Choose the dough cycle and start.
When the dough is finished, turn out onto a floured surface. Roll out to fit your pizza pan (approximately 12 to 16 inches, depending on the size of the pan and thickness of crust). Fit into the pan and cover with a clean dish towel; let stand for about 10 to 15 minutes. Spread with sauce, toppings, and cheeses of your choice. Bake at 400° for about 25 minutes, or until nicely browned and cheese and toppings are melted and bubbly.
